Win the weight loss game
17 May 2007Researchers specialized in the human being behaviors know that if you really want to make a change in your lifestyle, you need at least a 4 day period to adjust yourself.
Dr. Martha Beck, author of The Four-Day Win, applies this method in her book. She proposes that instead of cutting drastically your caloric intake, you do it slowly, reducing around 100 calories per day. Then you should give your body a 3 day time frame so it can adjust to that loss. At the fourth day you will not feel hungry, and that is what Dr. Beck calls the 4 day “win”.
Her plan includes five 4-day cycles. You should eat less in each cycle. If you add one extra day at the end, you will get a total of three weeks. By then, your new reduction plan will be a habit. Keep that calorie intake level until you reach your goal. If you get stuck earlier, start another 21 day cycle to reduce even more your intake and start loosing weight. Try this method and let us know how you go. Post a reply. We would love to hear from you!
